Web Services API

This chapter describes the Search! web services. Besides a short description of each service, the documentation lists all parameters of a method call and its return values. Furthermore, some services have pre- or post-conditions that are important for proper usage.

All web services throw a SearchBoxException in case of an error. The possible error codes are specified in the error handling sections of the web services.

Most services are available in two variants: One requiring authentication credentials, and another one asking instead for a valid access token coming from the authentication service.
