Access Methods

This chapter is only relevant if you are integrating the standalone Search UI. If you have an integration through the Textkernel Portal, access is managed by the Portal and you do not need to implement the services described in this chapter. Please consult Textkernel for more information.

This chapter describes the possibilities in managing user access in Search! The principle is that Search! does not manage users, groups or access rules itself. Access control is delegated to the integrating application. Instead, Search! offers two mechanisms for seamless integration: token authentication and roles authorization.
