Access roles allow the integrating application to be flexible in the access controls it wants to apply on its users. It can be configured in accordance with existing access control rules within the integrating application. This requires assigning roles to documents and search requests:
- The integrating application assigns a list of access roles to each document when adding them.
- The integrating application assigns access role specifiers when searching. The role specifiers determine which documents are visible depending on the roles on the document.
